About Veggies Don't Bite:

Sophia is referee to three boys and one husband in sunny San Diego. As a client-centered health coach, meal systems expert and plant-based recipe creator, she focuses on helping people feel empowered instead of overwhelmed when it comes to overall health and wellness. She helped her husband better his heart health by completely changing her family’s diet. She did this with a newborn and a 1-year-old, so she knows what it’s like to make a health change in the midst of chaos.

We do not have the following ingredients available yet:

2 x 410g black beans, drained and rinsed (or try 2 cups dried black beans)
¾ cup breadcrumbs, gluten-free if needed
1 tablespoon hot sauce (add less if you are very sensitive to spice)
2 teaspoons garlic, finely chopped (about 3 cloves)
½ teaspoon liquid smoke (or smoked paprika, start with 1 teaspoon and add more as you prefer)

You can purchase the following ingredients here:

½ teaspoon salt (only if you need it saltier)     AND     1 teaspoon maple syrup

2 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce or Tamari

You might want to try:

smoked paprika (start with 1 teaspoon and add more as you prefer)

2 cups dried black beans (remember that the beans need to be soaked overnight and cooked before use, but you won't have a tin to recycle)
